Welcome to Woodlands Early Learning

With the capacity to accommodate 32 children daily, our centre is staffed by a dedicated team of 15 professionals, including an early childhood teacher, qualified educators, assistant educators, and a cook.

Documentation of Learning Portfolios

Educators observe children and facilitate their learning to provide each child with a personal, confidential hard copy portfolio by documenting their learning throughout the year.

You will be given your child’s portfolio when they finish at the Service. Your child’s portfolio is always readily available for you to view at your convenience.

The First Day

The first day in a new service is a big step for you and your child. Please don’t be alarmed if your child experiences some separation anxiety. This is normal and our experienced educators will assist you and your child through this transition period. There may be tears and extra tight hugs when saying goodbye for the first few weeks but there are always cuddles, reassurance and genuine care from educators for both the children and their families. Sometimes this experience is upsetting more so for the family, not the child. We understand this and offer support through phone calls during the day, photos and open communication.

Our learning

We are committed to providing a developmental and educational program which caters for each child’s individual needs, abilities and interests. Our educational program is delivered through an intentional, play-based pedagogy aligned to the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) V2.0.
