Childcare subsidy calculator

Childcare Subsidy offers assistance to families to help with the cost of childcare. Families who wish to receive Child Care Subsidy as reduced fees must apply through the myGov website. Child Care Subsidy is paid directly to our Service to be passed on to families as a fee reduction. Families will contribute to their childcare fees and pay the difference between the fee charged by our Service and the subsidy amount received. This is called the ‘gap fee’.

On enrolment we will need the Customer Reference Number (CRN) of the person linked with the child, along with the child’s CRN so we can confirm the attendance and ensure that you are receiving the appropriate subsidy.

Navigating childcare costs can be daunting, but our subsidy calculator simplifies the process. By entering basic information such as income and family size, parents can quickly estimate their eligibility for government subsidies. This tool not only provides clarity on potential savings but also empowers families to make informed decisions about early childhood education expenses.

Am I eligible ?

Eligibility varies by income, family size, and regional policies—consult local authorities or use official subsidy calculators for accurate information.

How much will my subsidy be ?

To estimate your subsidy amount, use an official childcare subsidy calculator based on your income, family size, and regional policies.

How do payment work ?

Payments typically work through direct subsidies to childcare providers or reimbursements to parents, based on approved subsidy calculations and local childcare policies.
